Dahdouh’s son, a high school senior, and daughter, 7, among killed

Al Jazeera’s correspondent Wael Dahdouh’s wife, son, Mahmoud, who was a senior in high school, and his 7-year-old daughter Sham were killed, Al Jazeera has confirmed. Other members of his family are still missing.
His family, which was originally living in Gaza City, fled Israel’s bombardment to stay with relatives at the Nuseirat Camp.
Dahdouh stayed behind in Gaza City to continue covering the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip.
As Dahdouh was reporting from Gaza City, he was told that an air strike had targeted a building that destroyed his extended family’s house.
