There was no voyage, there was certainly no latitude and longitude, and nothing about any part of the entire magic book, old or new, suggests a sophisticated mathematician.
There are two basic styles or sources in old magic book. The priestly source, and the yahwist source. Neither of which are believed to have been atheist sources - as..for example, there were in the hindu tradition(s).
