Atheist forums supposed to be secularized for theist members. The concept of "Kook of the Month" award promote typical hatred/discrimination towards theists. Or rather, I think the title of "Kook of the Month" too provocative - I'm all for "Proud to be Christian" or less provocative title.
Who cares if Kook of the Month is provocative to theists? It is surely up to them to prove that their views aren't kooky? Provocative doesn't come into it.
Furthermore, most theists that come on here know what likely conversation they are going to get with atheists, are prepared for the questioning and stick, and are suitably thick skinned.
Thin skinned theists know where the door is.
I'm being considerate then it comes to good group of theists, I suppose. We have nice, civilized theists in this atheist forums, and I wouldn't want to award them with "I'm an idiot" medal out of malicious intention.
I'm fine with rewards/award/medals as long as it's civilized.
But none of the nice, civilised, non-shite talking theists would get awarded kook of the month, would they?
I was referring to the title of awards more less provocative, more fun:
Too many illogical comments = "Highly illogical" medal with picture of Spock from star trek.
Too many logical comments = "Seems logical to me captain" medal with picture of Spock from star trek.
Kook of the month doesn't sound bad, though.
