Are people here too rude?

Your proclamations about the forum as a whole aren't really very fair.  We have some of the nicest, most empathetic, and polite people here.  But maybe they don't interact with you so you aren't aware of that.

Painting us all with the same brush is a very common behavior of at least one other poster here.  But since he ignores us all, I am not really sure why he's here or who he's talking about...oh, yeah, you are still on the acceptable list.  You should be proud.

I don't believe everyone on this forum is rude.  Just a large proportion.  Large enough to make posters who try to be civil, like me, think about whether leaving or becoming likewise rude is the best option.

You won't do either. You'll just stay and continue to post in your usual way. I'm calling it now.
