But I don't actually hate Joffrey or Darth Vader or Voldemort or God. I just recognize that the writers are portraying them as villains. I can't be bothered to work up feelings about characters in someone else's story. But I CAN get into an argument with someone who tries to convince me that Voldemort was the good guy. Whether God is a bad guy depends on which version the person claiming it is pushing.
