Well, it's not God's best, and it's not supposed to be. God's best would've been something that humans wouldn't even like.
But humans are supposed to be God’s most extra special, super-dee-duper creation (souls, free will, and so on). Why would he make it the best of all possible worlds for us?
Hint: the answer rhymes with, ‘Because he doesn’t freksist.’
