Remember, you're gonna have to build 100 times more tanks, 100 times more guns, etc, more ships, more airplanes, more missiles.
During WWII, at the beginning of the German incursion into the U.S.S.R., the Red Army gave a rifle to one and the bullets to another, and off they went to fight the Germans. With current manufacturing capabilities, guns can be made rather quickly. After all, these are the people who build 1,500 room hospitals in a week. And they wouldn't need to make 100 times more tanks or planes, they'd need to build just enough to match the capabilities of who they are fighting.
Yeah, I disagree. 1) Guns don't come out of thin air. Barrels require precise milling, which in turn requires precise tooling-up. You want 200 million rifles? That's a lot of workers to be trained, a lot of steel to be rolled, and so on. 2) Hospital rooms do not require that same manufacturing precision. Also, drywall and wood is a bit easier to work than steel. 3) Infantry without supporting arms such as armor, artillery, or air support are casualties waiting to happen.
Oh, and let me know when you want to talk about how you're going to train this massive influx of raw recruits in a timely manner. That's gonna be another problem.
