I had a buddy from a truck forum that we belong to look at my AC. Turns out that there was a lot of dust caked on the evaporator. It runs less, now. Not saying that that was what was up with yours...
The one we replaced was installed when the house was built some 40 odd years ago. I think it just gave up. I can't fault it...that's a long run in the summer heat in TX.
