I am not suggesting that you should defend beliefs you no longer hold. I am suggesting, however, that past evaluations of your beliefs and the results thereof contribute to the beliefs you hold today. It is meaningful, then, to critically examine whether those evaluations were faulty or not. But you are of course at liberty to refuse such examinations.
