I have a question that I have been pondering for sometime now. Perhaps a christian theist can answer it. Does god have rules he needs to follow? For instance the reason I ask is why god needed to send Jesus to suffer for sin? why cant he forgive sin? If god is all powerful why not forgive and for go the whole Jesus suffering in the first place? So is God bound to a rule that says he (the Father) cant forgive sin unless he (the son) suffers for it? why go through the trouble, confusion and utter ridiculousness unless he is bound to not forgive? If so who or what is stopping him? All I can say is if I had created everything time, space, and everything ever to exist why limit myself an all knowing all powerful being to something as trivial as forgiveness??? Seems to be a huge waste of time to create sin and forgiveness and punish for the sin but cant forgive for it. Unless you create a clone of yourself to do it for you?????? Is it only me or is this odd behavior, and thinking for an all knowing being? any thoughts would be great Thanks

Short answer: Its all bullshit.
Hi Scuba, a little longer short answer is, God has principles, one of them is perfect justice.
Perfect justice does not just close it's eyes to evil. All around the world there are systems of justice. Find me a place where there is NO legal system. God chose to take the hit for evil Himself. No one with Adam's blood in him can pay it- only a perfect person could. The blood comes from the father. The father of Jesus is God- perfect blood was spilled as a ransom for us. If you refuse to take it - you have to pay the piper yourself. It is as if the Judge declares you guilty and has told you that He paid your debt. Do you tell the judge that he is an idiot? Kinda dumb uh? (February 27, 2014 at 5:12 pm)professor Wrote: Hi Scuba, a little longer short answer is, God has principles, one of them is perfect justice. Ur an idiot
God has rules he chooses to follow. Sometimes.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Convincing yourself that you know and understand some imaginary higher being from the meagre contents of a single book. Deluding yourself into thinking that you know all the answers to the universe we live in from such a book that was chopped and changed multiple times throughout history, by men. Taking this one flawed source as the source of all your understanding about morality, where we came from and what is potentially beyond the knowable universe. Now that... that is what's fucking dumb. Or how about the tribes still living in the amazon rainforest? Don't they still eat each other?

You know what Badwolf? There IS a code of conduct even in those remote tribes.
The legal system in Somalia apparently is Islam. Ever hear of Sharia law? By the way, the cannibals believed by eating the enemy, they gained power. |
