There were also multiple cloths for every table - seasonal cloths, holiday cloths, special ones for Sundays and saint’s days. It was a fabric nightmare.

Same here. Her everyday one for the family had some kind of plastic coating over fabric that she could wipe down. But whenever we had company out would come the cloths, with matching napkins and napkin rings. She also had a thing about coasters, some wood, some glass.
