I couldn’t say. We get ours from a friend who hunts them. Last night’s (and the leftovers) were the last in the deep freeze.

I used to work for a guy whose family owned a plot of land for hunting in SC.  He was telling me about taking a group out to hunt quail and when they opened the pen they were in, the quail just sort of sauntered out and stayed pretty close to the pen and what had been their food source.  I told him I didn't think that sounded very sporting to me.
