I ran out of margarine in the butter dispenser, so today I used Land O' Lakes spreadable butter. Much better taste. Once I clean the butter dispenser I bought, I'll try leaving a stick of room-temperature butter in it. But the Land O' Lakes is pretty good. Generic spreadable butter is a little cheaper, but if the reviews are any indication, the brand-name spreadable butter is a step above in taste and spreadability.
Land O' Lakes is what I used for many years and still keep on hand but I got hooked on Kerry Gold. Very tasty. I stock up when there's a sale. I used to buy the sticks of the herb and garlic to make garlic bread but now buy the tubs of the regular for general use.
I like Kerry Gold, just not the price. Aldi makes a decent knockoff but it's still expensive.
