USA active duty military is closer to 1.3 million. In the unlikely event of a shooting war with Canada, the US would be heavily outnumbered. And the beer belly militia is not a significant factor.

He also ignores the fact the size of your military isn't the deciding factor in war. He also ignores the fact were part of the commonwealth which would mean they would like end fight quite few countries all at once

I wasn’t even thinking about the Commonwealth aspect of it, although that’s certainly a valid point. Both Canada and the US are members of NATO. Canada being attacked by the US would trigger Article 5, so the US would have 31 pissed off countries to deal with.
