It may cover vandalism, but - like the lawyer in the video said - most private insurance companies have exclusions for damage due to war and domestic terrorism. The only way for the owners of protestor-damaged Teslas to be recompensed would be to sue the individuals who did the damage. Which may or may not work.

War and terrorism usually are protected by act of god clauses, because in most countries it is considered that no reasonable person or authority would consider it the duty of the insurer to cover losses in such extreme circumstances.
