That’s why I am highly worried about the more messianic types of Christians and Jews as well. They believe in equally insane religion-based theories. And again: A typical Jew and/or Christian with minimum religious knowledge can explain to you that these theories are not based on real or widely accepted religious dogma but are the invention of some religious minority that are only binding those who are foolish enough to believe them.

There's a reason than messianism runs through every abrahamic faith - and it's not because contemporary lunatics or a minority group are getting it wrong.

You are.  All three branches immediately posited a messianic figure upon their establishment.  What we know today as judaism began in that hope under the rule of the seleucid empire.  Christianity extended it to gentiles in the collapse of the roman state, and big mo's body was barely cold when the islamic world turned on itself and began to cry out for a savior of their own. Moreover, the abrahamic premise itself is that the proper state of the world is a theocratic dictatorship run by an all powerful authoritarian that is the singular fact of the entire universe.

It binds us all, not just those with more faith than you or I, because apocalyptic people now have access to apocalyptic weapons with which to make their ludicrous beliefs true, and a state apparatus to force them on any dissenter.  US soldiers are being told by their commanders that the point of the war is to kick off armageddon.  As we bomb iran it is held by both american and isreali nuts that donald trump is cyrus the great for our time.  Swirl that around in your ironometer.

Still, their way of telling things was the way my grandmother presented us the whole things in the early 90’s while putting us to sleep.
 
That image of the messiah is so much more than some superhero that comes to defeat Godzilla and King-Kong in a Mad-Max Fury Road type of planet Earth in the 2000’s.
 
The Messiah is actually this higher spiritual understanding that is the cause of some inner transformation inside every one of us which ends the previous dark-age in spiritual terms and creates a new level of consciousness among humans that will catapult us into a new age in which Humans are both smarter and more civilized in comparison to the previous age. Because these changes are very deep and revolutionary in nature, religious texts describe this as an “Armageddon” or “Final Battle”. But this is an inner battle. It happens inside our consciousness and in the energy level of humanity. Not somewhere in the desert with weapons, atomic bombs, Godzilla’s and other monsters everywhere
