I guess if we're talking about Adam's company before Eve, we should also mention pre-Adamism.
Pre-Adamism is the belief that some humans lived on the earth before the creation of Adam. The idea has a long history, particularly in medieval Jewish thought and was especially revived when the Americas were discovered in 1492 with their population of humans. This shook the assumptions of the existing medieval worldview with its single creation of Adam, or monogenesis. How did the Native Americans fit into the family of Adam’s descendants, or did they? Most European writers speculated that the Native Americans were linked to Adam. Some did not. Paracelsus proposed the idea of a Double Adam. God created one Adam for the Old World and another for the Americas.
The book of Genesis contains some hints that imply that other peoples were living on the earth when Adam and Eve were created. Like when God placed a mark on Cain to prevent anyone from killing him, but at that time only Adam and Eve should have been present, so why did Cain need to be marked? Afterwards, Cain traveled to the land of Nod, east of Eden, married, and founded a city, but who was around for him to marry and to populate his city?
Then these ideas were embraced by racists and pro-slavery Southerners to justify slavery for non-white people. According to them, pre-Adamites were non-whites created along with the rest of the animals. Pre-Adamites were not created in God’s image like Adam, so they lacked souls and the ability to accept Christianity and be saved. As with the other animals, God gave Adam dominion over the pre-Adamites. They even believe that the serpent who tempted Eve was actually a pre-Adamite, who also served as an agent of Satan.
These Southern pre-Adamite theorists then believe that woke Cain and the Negro pre-Adamites produced the Mongoloid races, who were superior to blacks but inferior to whites. And hence, this was the reason why God flooded the Earth.
Then there was a problem: how to explain pre-Adamite survival. Samuel A. Cartwright suggested that Noah took pure-blooded pre-Adamic Blacks on to the Ark along with all the other animals. After the flood’s end, Ham was made the overseer of the Black race, represented by Canaan, who was Ham’s ward, not his son.
But Noah’s descendants had still suffered from wokeism, so when Ham’s son Mizraim founded a white Egypt, the Egyptians intermarried with Black Africans, and the decline of the great Egyptian empire followed. During Reconstruction some Southern pre-Adamite theorists even argued that God had destroyed the slave regime of the antebellum South because of the sin of miscegenation.
Needless to say, this form of Christianity still exists today, like Christian Identity and its many groups.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
