Among the Muslims I've known,I've never met one who had more than one wife.
Why? The cost for one thing. Islam requires that each wife (and the children) be treated equally, with her own house. Hence a person with four wives could find himself supporting four households and a dozen or more children.
Plus having ONE happy marriage is hard enough. (I couldn't manage it)

I have no problem with the notion of an arranged marriage.Seriously, my parents could not have possibly made a worse choice than I made for myself.Are you not permitted to decline their choice?

You're only 24? I'm a bit stunned;the level of maturity, good humour and acceptance you show here constantly is remarkable in so young a man. I had assumed you were in your 40's. (my apologies if that sounds patronising)
