Except for the thorny problem that his argument didn't rest on such a notion. Those who actually read his articles know that he recognized and examined appeals to alternative ethical frameworks, including stories that do not appeal to any ethical framework at all. But he is saying something positive about the Judeo-Christian worldview so nobody needs to waste their time with him.
