We can discuss it all you like, but I got this comment from Josh (a Russian Jew who I refuse to trust but love anyway - just in case he ever finds this):

Anyway, some of this is the reason I support urban gardening efforts to lead to more local production of fruits and vegetables. I don't know much about meat production.
I don't care to participate in producing local fruits and vegetables. We have too many local republicans and libertarians as it is. I have tried to cultivate local meat, but I usually get slaped for my efforts.
