Plenty of countries have fought in a war for liberty. My country was founded on the success of one.

Right. And your country was founded on foreign soil by colonists, who came from various other nations.

That's not true, either. There are numerous countries that are not independent nations.

I know, my homeland, Crimea, and my other homeland, Kazan is now under Ukrainian and Russian sovereignity.
And my heart weeps for them each day.
But I comfort myself and my brethren with the knowledge that one day, Turan will be a reality. And at that day, Turks from all around the day shall rejoice.
The man in my picture was a Tatar thinker from Kazan, Russia. He emigrated to free Turkish lands as child, and was an advocate of Turkic unity.

And well, no race or nation becomes the Untertan, the subject of another race or nation by choice. They are made so by force. Tatars were forcefully seized. They tried to do the same with us. We resisted.
We won.
