You are naming some greats for sure.  But Quarterflash is one of the few bands to me that sounded like the album.

I have been to some concerts where the bands did not sound like the album.

All of those bands were excellent when I saw them.
The Cult was surprisingly good. They opened for Metallica back in '86ish, I was blown away by how good they were.

Another important distinction is that RUSH's 'Xanadu' is a fucking musical masterpiece, whereas the ELO one is the kind of dreadful synthopop that makes you want to find Jeff Lynne and punch him in the throat.
