Maybe because Democratic lawmakers in the latter part of this century espouse similar enough politics to the lawmakers who helped Unions survive Big Business in the beginning?
Really, you boggle me with uncritical statements sometimes.
It's all in the history for things like Unions. I suggest you read up on them in America -- a great many workers lost their livelihoods or died due to mining company actions, like using the Pinkerton Detective Agency to harass, intimidate, murder and suppress.
Clearly, my statements indicate that I'm against unions and unfamiliar with how the law was stacked against them in the early days. That's news to me.
Or how it's still stacked against them in some ways, I should add.
