In short, it is only discrimination when you are withholding rights from someone due to a specific characteristic. Please explain how insulting theists is somehow withholding their rights. If it is, I could rightly say that theists do the same thing when they tell atheists they are going to hell (which can be viewed as a very insulting thing to say).
