I get shit from other atheists who 'believe in belief'. About how I'm 'just as bad' because I'm a so-called 'atheist fundamentalist' - I'm not even a gnositc atheist FFS! I'm strongly opposed to religion and I am very interested in and care a lot about the matter, I also care about what's true. I am interested in this. What's their problem?
I try very hard, not to cringe and wince very hard when I hear one of these people say "I wish I could believe in nonsense like that. Must be comforting, they're so happy, blah [ etc, etc, blah blah blah blah]" (referring to religion), I dont, I pity them - and I think I'd rather eat my own head if it were possible.
