That is the risk you take with any account on the Internet, not just Facebook. You have an account here; we have been "hacked" before. Nothing to do with us, but rather weaknesses in the software being used. Luckily I have things set up so it would be very hard for hackers to actually steal information.
Oh, and it isn't a matter of "when". Security really isn't that hard to implement. It's just that so many companies fuck it up. Facebook actually have a very good security team, so I doubt they will ever get hacked in the way that so many others have the last few years.
