Homosexuality was never really tolerated beyond a certain point, which is probably even less than it's now. It still was behind closed curtains, involving pedarasty and sexual slavery.

You cannot scientifically remove ideas and thoughts.
Science will, one day, find the exact causes of homosexuality in humans.
And it will find a cure, even if people who think themselves above society, science and decency will oppose it while screaming "bigotry".

If your idea of a society is to control people and dictate who they can be and what they can do, then fuck your society. If you can't tolerate others, why should anyone tolerate you?

The purpose of society is to control people. To which extent this control can be stretched is determined by society. The current extent is to allow homosexuals to exist in harmony with society, unless they try to hamper with the workings of society.
Meaning, homosexuals can now freely practice their ways precisely because society allows them to.
I think it's time that homosexuals re-evaluate their position within society, and stop making such ridiculous demands.
