Godschild never followed any of those gods so it wouldn't be "in the same way", and furthermore, yes, that is still a rejection of polytheism.

All good things come from God. This is what Christianity holds. People can certainly "love to hate" any idea of God that they have, but being genuinely happy eternally alienated from all love is another thing altogether, and it runs contrary to the human spirit.
