You cannot prove that pixies don't exist either, that don't mean they exist too.

Dawkins said he believes in god as much as he believes in fairies, in other words - not at all. He's not saying that he believes in a god.
Just so we're clear on the matter.
Because I'm getting a slight impression you don't quite understand what atheism is.
Atheism is a lack of belief in a deity. If you can't prove that god doesn't exist then how can someone take that claim as fact? You can't, therefore atheists just say they don't believe in god, not that he doesn't exist.
