Because I'm getting a slight impression you don't quite understand what atheism is.
Atheism is a lack of belief in a deity. If you can't prove that god doesn't exist then how can someone take that claim as fact? You can't, therefore atheists just say they don't believe in god, not that he doesn't exist.
Atheists don't believe in fairy tales and superstitions. Your god-myth is just one of thousands of such superstitions that have come before it. Back of the line, bub.
