thanks for putting it in context. *african witchcraft* is quite broad considering there are arguably 54 countries on the continent.

Oh god. Witchcraft is a big problem in many of the 54 countries in Africa just because I mentioned one country does not mean it doesn't happen in other countries. I could post the links but I don't want to. I'm tired and it's a lot of work. In general East African countries usually accuse old women of witchcraft so they can steal their land. West African and central African countries have an odd mix of American Pentecostalism and African superstition. One of the horrible results of which is child abuse. Children as young as two are branded as witches and horrible things done to them. Read the link I posted.

Now, I could back up my statements with a mess of links but I don't really want to spend the time if no one is going to read what I post. For me to get off my ass and do this I'd have to be convinced that I'm not wasting my time. Or you could just quit the speculation and research the shit yourself. It exists, I posted one link to get you started, go ahead. If you convince me I'm not wasting my time I'll help you but I've just had about two weeks of debating on Facebook with a bunch of fucktard fundies and some other people who weren't but were just about as stupid and irrational as you can get and I'm tired of bullshit. A creationist who believes the earth is 4000 years old and is too stupid to understand any link or logic I post (and his mastery of the English language leaves something to be desired), anti-vaccers who wouldn't know a scientific paper if it came and squashed down on their face, and the dreaded anti gay marriage assholes. And debate? Do these assholes know how to debate? Pffft! Ugh! *sorry for the vent, don't take it too personally*

And finally let me just steal this thread for one second and say "Oh god I'm so sick of the bullshit.... someone please speak rationally to me please....please...p..p"

Of course I suppose it's all my fault for not resisting the urge to respond to their bullshit when they post it. Why do I do these things?
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
