Arguments on grounds of cruelty are invalid as they fail to consider the natural state of the fox. Furthermore, if the actions done to said fox are the same between natural and human-interacted states, then emotional appeals are faulty as said actions are neither unusual nor unexpected.
The only thing one can argue is that because a human is involved, then it is verboten. However, that fails to answer the question as to what makes humans rather different that necessitates a special case.
