You can then search for any music you want, create playlists, etc, and everything streams to you over the internet (so nothing is stored on your computer other than encrypted cache files). Every 30 minutes of music you listen to, you have to listen to 30 seconds of adverts, which is how the service pays for licensing.
Or you can pay a monthly fee of $9.99 and get no adverts and slightly higher quality music.
The best thing about it is the speed of the thing. You'd swear that the music was on your computer, because it starts playing as soon as you click it, and you can instantly click anywhere in the track and skip to that point.
