Must be interesting to live and work in such old buildings. To think of the people who passed through the place. How they lived, the history they saw, etc.
We have some "old" houses in my area. They date to the mid-late 18th century. We go "wow" when we're told how old these places are. But in Europe there are places that are over 1,000 years old! Now that's a WOW!
Yeah it is a little weird, especially when you're ripping bits out, unfortunately that is unavoidable. It's cool to see the changes over the centuries where different builders have been in and done repairs and extentions.
