The punchline falls flat however, as being human means you are more often than not, an irrational, power-mad, prone to violence, intrinsically selfish greedy immoral bastard of a bipedal animal.
Cooperation seldom works, therefore brute force is employed. If we weren't self-serving then we wouldn't have survived this long, we would've gone extinct long ago as we died trying to put the environment and other self-preservation-driven species' interests first.
The fact is that the chaotic universe is to blame. Any dream you have for a utopia will be quickly quashed the moment you try to make it a reality.
