Is becoming like God good or evil?

I freely admit that is merely my own interpretation, but is it really important? If they had comprehension equivalent to my own, everything else still applies and God is a monstrous dick. That's what is important, and that's all over your scripture.

I won't argue the specifics of scripture with you. No doubt you know it better than I do, but as I categorically deny the very premise of the Bible, by extension I find the entire thing to be without value in such a debate. In the end, whether God is an asshole or not is a moot point because I don't believe such a being ever existed.

If the Bible is without value why use it as a reference for God's being evil? Without it, all you can say is "I don't believe there is a God, and if there was he'd be a prick." No backing whatsoever for the second claim. Unless you're assuming that if there were a God the Bible would be his book.
