So long as stephen conroy (a labor dickhead) is in charge of the internet, the internet isn't safe.
This has been an issue for quite a while, it keeps rearing it head, I remember anonymous getting pissed (and playing some pranks) about this back when cRudd was pm (IIRC). (edit: checked, it was in 2009, and conroy's been at it since 2007, so it didn't go anywhere when labor had control, shouldn't get anywhere now.
from what I read in most news articles the liberals and greens are always against it (though that was previous iterations), so that's good.
