No, I don't think overpopulation exists, so I don't blame "it" for anything, not food shortages, not the lack of clean water, and not climate change either.

Thats fine. You want to believe that the globe is perfectly fine because of a poorly researched and completely biased video, thats certainly your right. Doesn't change the facts.

Bad as the air can be, lack of clean fresh water presents an even graver threat. Two-thirds of major cities are now seriously short of it, and as many as 700 million people drink water contaminated with human and animal waste at levels that don't come close to the government's minimum standards (also below those of WHO).

If the economy keeps roaring along, within three decades China could overtake the U.S. as the world's largest source of greenhouse gases, associated with global warming.

Growing populations do matter and China's problems are just the tip of the iceberg (so to speak).
