Ok Tiberius. If you had read through you would know that I am aligned with the Democrat Freedom caucus so I have much in common with Libertarians. However most Libertarians are found on the fringe of the republican party -like it or not.
Also like it or not Ron Paul is the most prominent Libertarian ( and I really don't want to go into ultra partizan intralibertarian discussions about whether he is or isn't) and obviously he's a Republican. I don;t agree with all of what he beleives but he shares with Dennis Kucinich an honesty about his work, he is a conviction politician (ie the complete opposite to Romney or Obama).
Concerning Corporatism both parties are utterly wedded to corporate interests, just different corporations.
Lastly a Libertarian party would include members of the current Libertarian party and those democrats and republicans that had sympathy with it.
I would rule myself out since I believe in a UK style Socialized medicine system, free to everyone at the point of delivery. I think we have the worst cost to benefit ratio medicine in the world. I am also a passionate defender of Animal rights ,something that Libertarians (with some exceptions) dismiss due to their concepts of ownership.
