L85A2 AWS, NVG, military coyote backpack. Apparently its four slots bigger than the ALICE. All I'm after now. I also want to get my heroism up to 5k. Then I'm not sure what I'll do. Explore, occasionally use my GPS to get to a village with a water pump, hunt.
What more is there after that?
Nice! your doing great then. The FAL is of no good use really. Only against other players. It's very loud aswell. Good thinking not taking it with you. You know you dont have to go into town for waterpump and just fill your cantines at lakes right? Good point not knowing what to do after you've survived for so long. I tend to find a server to stay and play on. Repair vehicles and stuff like that. Maybe learn how to fligh a helecopter!
To be honest I might wait for more updates before I play more. The risk you are asked to take doesn't seem justified.
The harsh penalties for failure don't balance out with the rewards for success. Most of the time the reward is simply survival so you're left feeling rather unfulfilled in terms of progression.
What does someone with all the equipment he wants stand to gain from helping others or venturing into infection infested areas?
Nothing it would seem. Just the expenditure of stamina, hydration and ammunition. Avoidance to the person who already possesses all he could wish seems a more intelligent prospect yet there is no enjoyment to be had from this.
The game feels slightly empty at present. The potential is there but it is far from realized.
