All know about Florida is mainly from I've seen on CSI Miami (I hate David Caruso) and "Burn Notice' (am deeply in lust with Gabrielle Anwar)

How true are true are the cliches that Miami is like a combination Havana and Tel Aviv retirement home?
I've always wanted to return to the US,,but haven't been game since I read The Patriot Act.--I mean if the US government treats its own people like that,what might it do to a tourist? --OK,I'm only half serious.The other half is due to a deep unwillingness to travel alone. For me,half the fun of traveling is sharing the experience AND I hate being in a strange city alone.
