I've suddenly got that Monte Python and The Holy Grail skit in my head:

"Oh, 'leader' eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the movement. By hanging on to outdated social hierarchical constructs and cult of personalities of the very religious institutions that we're trying to escape from. If there's ever going to be any progress..."
...and the skit ends with something along the lines of "Come and see the egotistical self-righteousness inherent in the cult of personality system! Help, help, I'm being suppressed!"
