Personally, I don't regard these people as leaders so much as spokesmen (the use of which term probably instantly disqualifies me from the atheism + movement). Whether it's the Four Horsemen or prominent Youtube atheists, they give a voice to what would otherwise be, if not exactly silent, then a considerably less vocal majority; not to mention producing material to maintain public awareness of the majority. You don't need to agree lockstep with everything these people say and do, in fact the highest tribute we could pay them is not to agree with them if such disagreement is warranted.
