Does it also depend on whether or not Jesus taught for three years or just one? What about which his first disciple was, does it depend on that too?
My salvation only depends on my acceptance of Christ and who He is, I'm not responsible for the circumstances of Christ's life, death and resurrection, they are what God planned. I accept these things as the truth of Christ's life, why, because He lived, died and resurrected in no other life. The OT is a testimony to the facts of His precious life and the precious gift it brought to all of mankind. Since Christ did not die another way, then this is all we have, so the cross is important, after Christ's ascension we have the work of God through man to bring the Gospel of Christ to the world.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
