Nutella comes in just slightly higher than most dried fruit (at 54%).....similar to raisins.....hehehe. In comparison, peanut butter is generally 9% sugar.Difference is, dried fruit usually has very little if any added sugar. Fruit is naturally high in sugar. For instance, a serving of fresh grapes has 20g of sugar!! Since raisins are just dried grapes, it is obvious that the 20g of sugar remains, while the volume of the grape is reduced. So 15 grapes or 15 raisins = same sugar. Fruit IS healthy, AND high in sugar at the same time, that's why it's awesome!
(and you wouldn't eat any of these products if they had less sugar in them....lol)
Dried fruits also retains the anti-oxidants and fiber of the fresh fruit, so it only looses some water, but remains otherwise healthy. You just have to be careful not to eat too much of it (no more than you would the fresh version).
