One thing I emphasise with my kids is that if you are behind the wheel of a vehicle you have that potential. Best IF you are in TOTAL control than be at the whim of said vehicle.
No, they are not designed to kill. It is ridiculous to suggest that they are. Find a single vehicle on the market today that has in its specifications the specific design goal of killing people. You can't because it doesn't exist. But you can certainly find that goal in the design of every firearm.
That is a crock of shit. Every firearm is not designed with the goal of killing.
For example this bench rest gun is designed to put holes in a piece of paper. Not to kill something.

It is capable of killing, but that is not what it is designed for.
Even military weapons like the AK-47 aren’t designed to kill. They are designed to stop someone from doing whatever it is you don’t want them to do. Sometimes they die as a result of being stopped. But to that effect firearms aren’t even particularly efficient killing machines. If they were more people would be killed in war than wounded. Modern causality numbers almost always include more wounded than killed.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.
