On this point, I've often thought that the Global Flood scenario, as with so much of this stuff, makes for an interesting and revealing glimpse into the minds of ancient civilisations as they sought to explain the world around them. Sea animals at the top of mountains? Maybe at one time the mountains were under the sea, which would mean there was a lot of sea - enough to drown the whole world perhaps...
As our knowledge increases we discover new ways of explaining these things, such as plate tectonics and related geological process like uplift and erosion that are more than capable of building mountain ranges all by themselves. We no longer need to resort to increasingly, embarrassingly, irrelevant mythology.
This has been a "No Shit, Sherlock" production.
In other news, post 4321. Just wanted that on record.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
