When I studied German and I realized the female chest was masculine ("Der Bosen") and the male chest was feminine ("Die Brust"), I knew I'd just have to memorize every word.

Indeed the number of exceptions with our geneder nouns is very high, and not easily remembered such as in French or Spanish.

And especialy the different plural forms drive people mad.
