In your whole litany of pointless quotes, John, I had to point this one out.
It is not true now and probably never was. When Lincoln said it he was attempting to compel 35% of the population to remain in that government at bayonet point.
Are you really unable to see that this country is run by shadowy special interests and be content to mouth silly slogans to make yourself feel better?
Remember, 30,000 Americans died as a result of guns last year without a single tyrant being overthrown. Try to understand what the fuck you are arguing for instead of throwing up red-herrings about your fantasies of "revolution."
Revolution was an internal though on your part, this is from the old Arizona thread the quotes that is.
"reasons we Americans want to own guns." but it doesn't matter.
Because you're right it is silly to think America is really of the people, that the people's beliefs mean something, that our rights mean anything. There really is no America is there? It's all just a childish story of wishful thinking, no wonder the world does not respect us, were self deluded, self defeating, motivated by only personal gain. Like every other nation it's simply the rich, the poor, the fantasy of the poor. The only real freedom is the privacy of our own minds but at least there is that.
There is no point in even talking about this subject then? America is a sham therefore arguing rights is of no consequence.
Live every day as if already dead, that way you're not disappointed when you are.
