I generally spend a lot of time just being me. I've put a lot of effort into the project, in fact you could say I've made it my life's work - so far, anyway. After some forty-odd years I think I may finally have a vague idea of who and what 'me' is, though it wouldn't surprise me in the least if I turned out to be something completely different.
I'm not convinced that my life would be/have been any better with a god concept installed. Probably worse, actually, considering that I know the backstory of me better than anyone, the circles in which I move (in a mysterious way) and such concepts would have been ludicrously out of place in my background. I try to imagine my life with this god stuff running like some malicious spyware, bypassing my evidence filter and downloading no end of useless, damaging crap. And I shudder.
As to whether living without "God" is normal, I'd say that was down to the individual. However, to me it's normal to see the Universe as it really is rather than paint a face on it, get down on one's knees and wish things were arranged so as to suit oneself.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
